Located on a scenic 144 acres situated in the hills of the Petaluma Gap, Karah Estate Vineyards and Winery produces some of the finest wine in the area. Founded by Michael Karah in 1995, the winery continues a tradition of continually perfecting our grapes, holding quality in the highest regard. With a commitment to the wine making process, and to the people who love a well-aged wine, the vineyard has created a product the Karah family is proud to release to the community.
The estate's origins provide for a grand story. Seated on the crown of the hill above Highway 101 in Sonoma County, the vineyard enjoys a panoramic view of the surrounding county. The steady breeze from the Sonoma Coast provides ideal conditions for the growth of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay of the highest quality.
Built upon land used by the famous environmental artists Christo and Jeane-Claude to create their Running Fence piece in 1976, the winery is rich in history and folklore.
